FAQ

Why does the picture look different when I see it at the side?

Viewing angle is the maximum angle at which a TV can be viewed with acceptable definition. If viewed at a wide viewing angle, an image may be seen with a poor saturated colour and poor contrast.

The viewing angle of a TV is measured from one direction to the opposite direction, giving a maximum of 180 degrees for a flat, one-sided TV screen. The best viewing angle for a TV is right in front of the screen itself, in another words, 90 degrees both horizontally and vertically.

With technology getting better over the years, it is now possible to achieve a wide viewing angle for most of the Flat Panel TVs in the market. Even though most LCD TVs feature over 170 degrees viewing angle, picture quality does deteriorate as the viewing angle deviates away from the centre of the screen.
