Problem:

In some cases when the remaining battery charge capacity is very low, the Battery may not charge even if the AC Adapter is plugged in.

Solution:

This problem can usually be temporarily resolved by removing the Battery and AC Adapter for about a minute and reinserting the Battery and AC Adapter.
