The following is a summary of the limits at which proper performance is expected:
TEMPERATURE:

  • Operating: 5 C to 35 C
  • Non-Operating (storage): -20 C to 65 C

THERMAL GRADIENT:
  • Operating: 15 C per hour maximum
  • Non-Operating (storage): 20 C per hour maximum

RELATIVE HUMIDITY:

  • Operating: 20% - 80% non-condensing
  • Non-Operating (storage): 10% - 90% non-condensing

VIBRATION:
  • Operating: 0.5G, 5 to 500Hz
  • Non-Operating (storage): 1.0G, 5 to 500Hz
  • Packaged: 1.5G, 5 to 500Hz

SHOCK IMPACT:
  • Operating: 10G
  • Non-Operating (storage): 60G (13" & 14" display), 40G (15" display)

ALTITUDE (relative to sea level):
  • Operating: -60 to 3000 metres
  • Non-Operating (storage): -60 to 10,000 metres


Toshiba does not warrant any component damages resulted when the product is subjected to a condition exceeding the specified environmental specification.

Note: Consult the notebook computer's environmental specification first whenever the product is to be used in adverse conditions, for example high temperature or humidity. If you decide to operate or store the notebook computer outside its environmental specification then Toshiba recommends that the product is inspected regularly for any sign of damage by one of our Authorised Service Centres.
