Sydney, AUSTRALIA – July 20, 2010: Twenty five years of notebook innovation has contributed to the release of Toshiba (Australia) Pty Limited’s latest gaming weapon – 3D. The Satellite A660 delivers consumers a totally immersive gaming and movie viewing experience in a powerful, slim and stylish package.As part of its line up of 19 new consumer notebooks Toshiba today announced six new platforms focused on the future of mobile computing with increased power and performance, multimedia functionality and affordable style.

Toshiba has teamed its audio visual (AV) technology expertise with graphics experts NVIDIA to create an exciting 3D notebook experience. The new Satellite A660 combines a superb TruBrite high definition widescreen with NVIDIA’s 3D graphics card to give users an eye-popping experience that takes movies and games to a whole new level.
“Our focus across the range is to deliver leading technology such as Toshiba’s Sleep-and-Music feature. This lets you use your notebook as a sound system even when it is asleep or switched off,” Mr Geronimo said.
“This means there’s no need to carry external speakers because there is a great set in your notebook; they deliver amazing sound without the hum of the fan or the hard drive, and without the battery drain of having the system booted up just to play songs.”
